We built Aniv3rse to be a personal anime tracker — not an ad platform. We collect the minimum data needed to make the app work and sync across your devices. We do not sell your data.

Aniv3rse is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at aniv3rse.support@gmail.com and we will delete the account and all associated data promptly.
If you are located in the European Union, you must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required by your country's law) to use Aniv3rse without parental consent.

We do not collect: location data, device identifiers, financial information, contacts, or any data from other apps on your device.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
To operate Aniv3rse, we use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Anime cover images, titles, synopses, and related metadata are sourced from MyAnimeList via the Jikan open-source API. All anime content belongs to its respective rights holders. Aniv3rse is not affiliated with MyAnimeList or Jikan.
Your data is stored on Supabase servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). We use the following security measures:
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under GDPR:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at aniv3rse.support@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly from the app in Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.
The legal basis for processing your data is performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — we need your data to provide the service you signed up for. For community features (feed, leaderboard), the legal basis is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by disabling or not using community features.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all associated data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information.
Aniv3rse uses your browser's localStorage to store your anime list locally for offline access. This is not a "cookie" and cannot be used to track you across websites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
Supabase Auth uses a secure session token stored in localStorage to keep you logged in.
If you access Aniv3rse from outside the European Union, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU (Frankfurt). Supabase incorporates Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission for international transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
